Embark on an unforgettable journey through Colorado's rich heritage as you explore the interactive exhibits and immersive experiences at the History Colorado Center in downtown Denver. From ancient cultures to modern communities, our exhibits showcase the diverse narratives that have shaped Colorado. Children and adults alike will develop a deeper appreciation for our state's vibrant past as they touch, see, and experience history like never before!
Parking meters, covered garages, and surface parking lots are available in the blocks surrounding the History Colorado Center. Guests can use SpotHero to locate and reserve parking in advance. Parking is NOT available in the covered lot right next to the museum.
A person with a valid disability placard or plate may park where there is metered parking without paying, for up to 4 hours or the amount of time on the meter, whichever is greater.
We do not validate parking.
Members-only Parking Discount:
We offer discounted parking for all History Colorado members at the Chancery Garage (1120 Lincoln Street, Denver, CO 80203), which is catty-corner from the History Colorado Center on Lincoln Street. All-day covered parking is just $8 for History Colorado members with validation. Payment at the Chancery Garage is due upon exit, so ask for a parking voucher at the History Colorado Center front desk before you leave.
If you are visiting on a weekend, the roll-down door off the street is closed, so you will need to purchase your parking online in advance. Please go online to goparkwell.com or use the ParkChirp app. Search for "The Chancery" garage and then reserve daily parking. You will select a time frame and enter the promo code "history." Then press "Submit" for payment and add your card.
Café Rendezvous is located just off the main lobby and it is a quick, casual café for museum-goers, Golden Triangle businesses and area residents alike. Bringing an unforgettable and unexpected local Colorado flare to your breakfast and lunch favorites.
