Rocky Mountain Women's History Symposium

Bold Women. Change History.

Explore the history and complexity of women’s rites of passage and coming of age in the Rocky Mountain region, including a look at dress and textile history and cultural celebrations. The 2026 Rocky Mountain Women’s History Symposium, Dress to Rejoice, is gathering scholars, researchers, and all others who wish to explore moments worth celebrating from across women’s and girls’ lives – along with the clothing they wore during those special parties and ceremonies.

This Symposium is designed for educators, museum professionals, researchers, and individuals from all walks of life. We welcome people of all ages to participate, from middle schoolers to 100+. We stand for diversity and inclusion. We welcome people of all genders and seek to uplift the experiences of those who identify as women, femme folx, transwomen/transfeminine, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and genderqueer.

Half Day Includes Keynote and one afternoon panel sessions, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Members $15/ Non-members $20
