The Center for Colorado Women’s History is a history museum that focuses on the stories, memories, and experiences of women of Colorado. Located in the heart of Denver, the Center for Colorado Women’s History offers bold exhibits, personalized tours, and frequent special events and programs inspired by our diverse neighbors in Denver. Visitors can stroll through our exhibits on their own with General Admission, pop in for a quick visit to our gift shop and gardens, or join a docent-led Women’s History Tour.
The Center for Colorado Women’s History is located within a spacious historic home built in 1883. The home’s original character has been preserved and restored. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by the furniture, art and domestic objects of a bygone era.
Currently on exhibit throughout the museum is Votes and Dreams which highlights the struggles and triumphs of Colorado’s women activists and leaders who organized at the ballot box and beyond to implement their vision for a better future. Visitors can experience Votes and Dreams with a General Admission ticket to the museum, available anytime during our public hours. Votes and Dreams is also viewable on the docent-led Women’s History Tour, though visitors should expect the focus of the tour to be women’s history more broadly.
