Request an Appointment
Once you have identified the items you wish to view using our online collection, you may fill out the Appointment Form to request a time to view the artifacts and perform your research in-person. Appointments must be requested at least 3 business days prior to the date of the appointment, so please plan accordingly.
Day of Appointment
Upon arrival at the History Colorado Center, inform the front desk of your appointment and they will direct you to the Research Center. There is no entry fee to visit the Research Center. Please familiarize yourself with the Reading Room Policies and Camera Use Policy prior to your visit.
Prior to entering the Reading Room, please deposit personal belongings into the lockers outside the room. See policies and procedures for items that are allowed in the Reading Room. Items too large for the lockers can be left with the Security Department on the 1st floor of the building. You will be asked to show identification at the Research Center Desk. Please have clean hands (no lotion or sanitizer) prior to handling materials. Once you have checked in at the desk, a staff member will show you to your table and research materials, and will be available to answer questions.
