Join us at El Pueblo History Museum for Hands-On History Camp! Hands-On History provides safe, engaging learning opportunities for elementary and middle school children (grades 1st through 8th). Create! Art Adventures
Students will immerse themselves in art history as they learn about a variety of historic and contemporary artists. Join us as we explore new art techniques and experiment with different materials as we create various types of art in this fun and exciting environment.
Explore! Colorado’s Wildlife
Discover the fascinating wildlife, ecosystems, and natural history of Colorado through hands-on exploration and interactive activities! Students will explore native and non-native species while learning how animals have shaped, and been shaped by, Colorado’s environment and history. Through games, movement, and creative learning, students will investigate local wildlife, habitats, and the human impact on the natural world over time.
Dance! Ballet Folklorico
Celebrate the vibrant traditions, culture, and history of Mexico through folklórico dance! This high-energy movement class will introduce students to the vibrant world of traditional Mexican folk dance through the exploration of regional styles, footwork, and choreography.
Survive! Pueblo Pioneers
Step back in time and discover the skills that helped early homesteaders thrive in the west! Students will gain an appreciation for the self-sufficiency and resourcefulness of past homesteaders by partaking in traditional homesteading practices.

Additional Information
Camp is in session from 8 am to 4 pm. Drop off will start at 8 am. Students will check in with our education staff at the side entrance and parents will have to come inside to sign your child in. During the first hour of the day, students will play games with other students and staff. We ask that your child arrive before 9 am, when our programming begins. The first part of the day is super important for your child as we will start getting to know one another, having mindful conversations, and preparing for our day.
When it is time to pick up your child, you or your alternate pick up person (confirmed in our registration records) must come inside to sign out your child. Please pick up your child by 4 pm.
